Die 31. Tagung Molecular Biology of Plants unserer Sektion in der Deutschen Botanischen Gesellschaft (DBG) fand vom 20. bis 23. Februar in Dabringhausen statt. Die Organisatoren, Dorothee Staiger, Katja Meyer und Alexander Steffen, berichten in ihrer Tagungsnachlese auf der Website der DBG über die wesentlichen Forschungsergebnisse, die auf der Tagung präsentiert wurden, die Highlights sowie über die Titel der ausgezeichneten Arbeiten und nennen die Preisträgerinnen und Preisträger der Reinhold von Sengbusch-Preise.

Travel Allowances for PhD students

Young scientist are invited to apply for travel allowances to participate in the conference Molecular Biology of Plants 2019, which will be 200 Euros each. It will be given exclusively to students without full employment, who are members of the Section Plant Physiology and Molecular Biology. The Section and conference organizers will select the best proposals by mid of November so that applicants will be informed before Christmas holidays.

Application Procedure

Please tick the box the registration form and send us an e-mail until October 25th 2018:

A single, only one-page long pdf document containing:

  • Your name
  • Your affiliation and name of your PI
  • Your abstract
  • Your motivation (a short notice, why you apply for the travel allowance).

The organizers are looking forward to your application.


32nd Conference

The next Conference Molecular Biology of Plants of the Section Plant Physiology and Molecular Biology of the DBG will take place 18th to 21st February 2019 in Dabringhausen, Germany. It will be organized by Prof. Dr. Stefan Rensing Marburg University, Prof. Dr. Dorothee Staiger from Bielefeld University, and Prof. Dr. Rüdiger Hell (Heidelberg University).
